The Scriptures
We believe that the Scriptures, consisting of the Torah, Prophets, Writings, all three of which are often referred to as the “Old Testament,” and the Apostolic Scriptures, also referred to as the “New Testament”), are without error, being given by God to man through the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures are God’s complete revelation of His plan of salvation for mankind, and they are the absolute, final authority for all matters of belief and practice.
God and Yeshua (Jesus)
We believe in one God, and in His Son, Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus), of whom the prophets of Israel spoke, conceived and born of the virgin Mary, “in whom all the fullness of deity dwells in bodily form, and who is the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us, and whose glory we beheld, the glory of the uniquely begotten Son of God, full of grace and truth). John 1:1-14; Colossians 2:9.
The Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh)
We believe that the Holy Spirit of God was sent as a comforter and teacher to indwell and regenerate those who believe, guiding and instructing them towards holiness and righteous living in accordance with God’s Word.
The Trinity
It's complicated. The word "trinity" is not found in the Scriptures, and it's difficult to affirm a doctrine that is not directly spelled out. We do believe in the divine nature of Yeshua (ref. Colossians 1:15-16 and 2:9), and affirm the deity of the Holy Spirit. While we have strong Trinitarian leanings, we will not break fellowship with people who do not. It is important to realize that Trinitarian doctrine is often misinterpreted as a belief in three gods (not one), and this can become a major stumbling block.
Mankind
We believe that God created mankind (male and female) in His image, but that all of mankind has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.
Salvation
We believe that God’s Son, Yeshua, paid the substitutionary penalty of sin, unto death, for all who believe in Him and His work of salvation, which is the sole way for us to stand before God in righteousness. All who are saved through faith become part of God’s covenant family and become new creations, indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Justification is only by faith through the grace of God and cannot be earned; obedience to the Torah is the pursuit of righteousness and an imitation of the character of God, not an attempt to earn salvation through individual merit.
Israel
We believe that both the nation of Israel, physically descended from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and non-descendants of the nations will be blessed by the covenant with God if they accept the salvation offered through the Messiah, His Son.
End Times
We believe that Yeshua will return one day to fulfill His plan for mankind, to rule and reign on the throne of David in Jerusalem, where the redeemed will visit the Temple for worship and the Word of the Lord will go forth from Zion.
